Job Description:
About this position...As a Modem Firmware/Protocol stack , System Analysis and Triage SAT Engineer, you will work with customers, development teams and test teams to identify functional and performance issues of modem Protocol stack, Physical Layer/Firmware.
You will also provide related technical support to the customers and internal teams.
What you will do...You will be responsible for the detailed technical analysis of Modem Protocol and Physical Layer/Firmware.
The SAT Engineer will identify and narrow down functional and performance issues by analyzing logs from internal teams and external customers.
You will work as part of a global team with other SAT engineers to ensure investigation, root-cause analysis, technical reporting and subsequent solution, as well as cooperation with software design teams and cross functional teams to propose solutions and verify the solutions.
The SAT Engineer will create and follow up on problem reports during the product development cycle. In addition, you will also provide technical trainings to customer and internal teams on an as-needed basis
Qualification:
Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in telecommunication, computer science or related discipline with 2+ years of industry experience. ORMS/Ph.D. of Science degree in telecommunication, computer science or related discipline with 1+ years of industry experience.
Additional Qualifications: You should have at least 2 years of experience in the following areas: Experience in Modem Protocol stack or physical layer development or log analysis. Good Understanding of 3GPP Specifications.
Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent English communication is must-have
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on modem Firmware development or analysis
Experience working on modem protocol stack development or analysis
Familiarity with Intel Modem platforms
Basic knowledge on LTE/CDMA/WCDMA/GSM
Basic knowledge on 5G
